I have been constructing a pair of cabins, and regularly have significant amounts of debris that can’t be either composted or burned (to create ash for my garden). Such items include drywall and styrofoam packing for fixtures and appliances.

I have been using regular contractor bags, and saved 40-pound cat litter bags, to collect the waste and take it to the recycling center. In the interests of economy, I have been shaking the debris out into the dumpsters and saving the bags. So imagine my delight in seeing a reusable clean-up bag that is large (40 gallons) and lightweight, made of woven plastic.

I plan to keep two or three in my rig for general site cleanup and others in my workshop, and they appear durable enough for multiple reuse as designed.

I have mature trees that drop dead twigs and branches all the time. Worse, I have a large catalpa tree that drops its dried seed pods every year. These pods are about 18 inches long, split into two pieces, and have a very sharp point at one end. After years of fighting with paper and plastic bags where those pods will just slice right though them, I’ve resorted to saving the more durable bags from things like birdseed and fertilizers to use for gathering those pods and twigs. I discovered these bags and wow – no more saving empty fertilizer bags for me! These work great.

First, I was impressed by their size (see photo relative to a large fertilizer bag). These bags will hold a lot. Second, I tested it with the catalpa pods. I truly had to fight to push that pod around and through the weaved plastic before it finally poked out (see photo). And even once poked through, the weaved plastic was strong enough to hold it in place and prevent it from tearing the bag any further. There’s no way these sharp pods are gonna escape this bag. And the price point is very economical for a bundle of these bags (see photo) – especially given their ample size. These are definitely great bags for “tough” garbage that would just tear through regular bags. But they can also be used for dust protection and storage of odd-shaped items that have corners, edges, or things that “poke” – like firewood, sharp-ended tools, metal garden sculptures, etc. Great versatile bag when strength is paramount.

These disposable waste bags are just what we needed this summer as we tackle a lot of yard and house projects. This set of bags includes 20 heavy duty woven polypropylene tear-and-puncture resistant bags that are made from recycled materials. They are similar to those reusable shopping bags that you can buy in supermarkets…only much larger.

The bags measure 45″ high and 30″ wide. They can each hold up to 100 lbs of dry materials. We have been getting a lot into them. There are a couple design issues that potential buyers should be aware of. The first one is that the bottom of the bag is not gusseted on the bottom. Because of this, they do not stand on their own. The bottom is like the bottom of an envelope. However, the top does open wide. Because of this, potential buyers may want to fill the bottom of the bag with smaller items before adding larger or wider items higher up in the bag. The second design issue is that the bag does not close on top. We have just been taping it shut with duct tape. A drawstring design to close the top of the bag would have been nice. None the less, these bags are still great to have on hand. We have been using them for yard cleanup, renovation, junk removal, and storm cleanup.

These bags are nice and sturdy and make cleanup and hauling much easier. I would normally give them 5 stars, but will deduct one star because of the design flaws. Still definitely worth their weight in gold.

Used these to hold items from our kitchen and bathroom renovations. They are truly heavy duty and can hold up to 100 pounds of dry material. The 40 gallon size is big enough to get the job done.
They are not waterproof but sturdy enough to be reused for months.

This beats those “construction cleanup bags” every time just because it’s 10x more rugged. Ultra durable and simple: it’s just a hard core bag and nothing else.

My video shows an overview. No handles or drawstring, which is kind of a bummer, but it’s a hard core bag. The best I’ve used for long life.

Had to tear up floor in pieces to transport to dump. These are tough, durable and great for the task. If these are inadequate, you need a dumpster.

These are exactly as advertised. I’ve filled them to the top multiple times with sharp/jagged material over a three day period and there are still no signs of tears or hole punctures. Sturdy and well-made. Finished bagging/disposing of the stuff in half the time it took me with regular bags. I’ll be getting more.

These bags were amazing for hauling away, nasty trash that would usually rip bags. These bags did not rip great for construction, great for remodeling Holloway trash, and for yardwork these bags last very well very impressed with the bags. They are also wider than other bags we’ve used in the past making it easy to get trash and stuff put inside of them.
